About TV Romania

Televiziunea Română (Romanian pronunciation: [televiziˈune̯a roˈmɨnə]), more commonly referred to as TVR [teveˈre], is the short name for Societatea Românǎ de Televiziune (Romanian Television Corporation), or SRTV—Romanian public television. It operates five channels: TVR1, TVR2, TVR3, TVRi and TVR HD, along with six regional studios in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iași, Timișoara, Craiova and Târgu Mureș. Of the regional studios of TVR (“studiouri teritoriale”) only TVR Cluj broadcasts independently (terrestrial and via cable) all over Transylvania. REN TV (Russian: РЕН ТВ) is one of the largest private federal TV channels in Russia. Founded by Irena Lesnevskaya and her son, Dmitry Lesnevsky, who had been running REN TV as a production house for other national Russian television channels, it has broadcast since 1 January 1997. Its target audience is a young to middle-age city worker. ESPN Australia is a 24-hour sports channel offered in Australia and New Zealand.

Initially, ESPN was known as Sports ESPN on the Optus Vision cable television system, and focused on sports aired by its home network in the United States, including American football, baseball, and basketball. In order to expand its local reach, it has shown an increasing amount of football games including La Liga (now on beIN Sports), UEFA Champions League (shared with SBS), World Cup qualifying games, and Major League Soccer. Also on the network schedule are rugby matches and Cricket matches.
