TV1 is a Tanzanian television channel owned by Swedish MTG . The broadcasts a mix of news, entertainment programs and purchased movies and TV series. The channel is aimed at the age group of 15-49 years and has a special focus on female viewers.
The channel was launched in January 2014, and then became Tanzania’s first advertising-financed TV channel.
